McCarran International Airport

The airport itself had slot machines. Like seemingly every structure in Vegas, it was willing and eager to get you gambling. The huge sprawling airport serviced flights at every hour. Tourists moving in and out, shuttles to hotels, cabs and limousines everywhere, enormous parking structures. The car ride was about 25 minutes, mostly due to traffic. Luggage carousels, terminal skyways, and airline check in stations. Security was everywhere, and amidst arrival and departure announcements , warning about luggage security and advice on security checkpoints. Emptying pockets early, having metal objects out for deposit in the tray, advisories on liquids and more. Smells of cuisines from kiosks and restaurants.

Daniel looked around as they walked through the airport toward where their plane was due to depart. Spotting a store that looked promising, "You said you wanted a laptop darling? How about one from that store?" Halayin pointed toward the computers while guiding Almyra with the other hand.

Almyra nodded, clutching the iPad to her still. "Let's go look." She started tugging her 'daddy' toward the store.

The store was a true electronics outlet, possessing several displays of lap tops, MP3 players, computer accessories, hand held dvd players, and of course the vegas souvenirs. Pocket poker, techno themed dice, game program sets of various gambling games, dvd sets of world championships of poker, pool and more.

Almyra perused the hardware, looking at all the specs on the laptops. She wouldn't need much, of course. Just enough to get her online and hack herself a passport. Finally, she came across one that seemed to suit her needs. "Daddy, can I have this one pleeeeeaaasse? Look! It has an HD webcam!"

"of course pumpkin. Let me just find a salesmen." Daniel waved at an associate and motioned to the computer.

A nearby associate would walk up "Yes sir, what can I do for you?"

"We would like one of these and carrying case."

"Of course," the associate would say, checking the item number before he disapeared into the stock room to retrieve their purchases. Minutes later he was putting them at the checkout counter so Daniel could buy the $2000 lap top and pay an additional 50 for the case.

"It's been a while. how long does the battery have to charge before we can use it? My little girl would like to use it on the plane." He chatted as he swipped his card and signed the reciept.

"Ohh we sell them with a fully charged battery sir." The cashier would say, smiling indulgently to Almyra.

Almyra smiled sweetly to the cashier. "Daddy's taking me on a lot of trips so I can see the world. Right daddy?"

As soon as Daniel would pay, sign for teh credit payment or hand over cash, the laptop and case would be handed over to the two so they could go collect their tickets and begin to clear security.

"That's right pumpkin. We are going to travel all over." Daniel smile at his 'daughter', as he picked up the laptop and bag in one hand and Almyra's hand in the other. "Now we must hurry to make the flight. Thank you much for your assistance." He nodded to the salesperson and he headed out of the store with his daughter in tow.

The line to his luxury airline was, not surprisingly, very small, and only a few minutes later he'd be able to get their tickets and begin the much longer process of dealing with security.

They get their tickets and make their way through securuty.

Security would be a long wait. Their flight was for an hour and a half from now, giving them plenty of time.

The long lines of security stretched throughout the many metal detectors and carry on scanners. Random pat downs of people, surprisingly all of less then fair skin, swipes for chemical residues. Crying children, griping wives, and everywhere the electronic hum and music of those gambling machines eager to sap people of their hard earned money.

Halayin sighed at the 'necessary' delay. "Well daughter dearest, lets get in line and get this over with. Can you use that thing to see if any of them are...going to be a problem?"

She nodded, hoping she was right. Accessing the iPad, she used the camera to look for celestial signatures in their area. Especially those of the angels that previously possessed it.

"I only read two. One I think was you in the Flamingo, the other is some sort of fight in north Vegas. We should be good for now."

"Ok good. Then we possibly have a little time that we can waste in this line." They waited patiently for their turn.

Halayin glared at Almyra. "You said it looked clear? How does it look now?"
